Chapter 6 Sec. 1 1. Why can they not tax the voting? yes, they have a constitutional law set that states cannot tax the poll but if there was just a small tax or fee for voting it would allow for the more serious voters to vote and also give a little more money to the government. 2. What made the age limit 18 why not 16 or even 21? what is so significant about the age of 18 that makes it a limit on the time to vote.
Sec. 2 1. What would be considered too harsh as a requirement or qualification?
2. Why do some states let mentally incompetent people vote? yes they are people too but if they are mentally incompetent then they really do not know what is going on so they are really just pressing a button or the people that are helping them are voting for who they want which could consequently swing the voting.

1. How has voting evolved over time? 2. Should voting laws be less strict or more strict? Why ? 3. Should citizens be made to take a literacy test in order to vote? Who would create the test and who would grade the test? 4. Should the voting age be raised or lowered?
1) Do you think voting rights will change again dramatically in the U.S.? 2) With all the changes of voting rights, do you think one day people outside of the country or even people who live illegaly will somehow gain the right to vote? 3)Why does the U.S. keep expanding who can vote? Meaning why dont they set specific rules of who can vote and stick with them? 4)Why is the voting age 18 and not 21, If someone is mature enough to vote wouldnt they be mature enough to consume alcohol? or do other things that 21 year olds can do and that 18 year olds cannot?
