Section 5.2 1. Everytime a new catastrophe came about in America over the years, a new president from the opposing party typically became the new president in the next elections. Why? Do you think choosing a president from the opposing party could change those current issues any better? 2. How have the political parties that died, such as the federalists, shaped the current political parties into what they are today?

If we started this country off with political parties in the Constitution how would it be different? If the anitfederalists and federalists where still around how would they effect the government?
What is the major difference between the 2 political parties today? Is 2 political parties enough or should there be a third party?
Why have the last few years had mixed winners and not one party that dominates? How would America be different today if the Whigs party was successful and never died out?
